Congratulations to Spartans senior Kearston Powell who was voted Paulding County School District’s Player of the Year in volleyball. Powell played all 30 games in the 2020 season, ending the season with a 94% service rating. As team captain and an exemplary student, Powell led the Spartans on and off the court.
While she played the position of opposite, Kearston was one of the most versatile players on the Spartans varsity team. She can serve, she can pass, she can set, she can block, and she can hit. This was Kearston’s fourth year playing Spartan varsity volleyball. Kearston is a member of the National Honor Society and the South Paulding Beta Club. When she graduates, Kearston plans to go to college, major in psychology, and maybe play a little volleyball.
